A guardian can be a lot of things. He may be a defender, a protector, or even a loyal subject. In my own perspective, this can also be people working as property custodians who work in regards to the property management of their landlord. Landlords are usually the ones who invest money to buy land and work for its development. However, once their acquisitions becomes growing in numbers, the inevitable truth of working with the guardians or what we call property custodians becomes an evident possibility.
I call them guardians because to me, their role is very critical in preserving the whole business itself. They are the ones that guard everything from maintenance to supplies. The landlords had done their part and that is their investment. Pouring in capital so that the business will come in fruition is enough to be considered the foundation of the whole process.
A good property custodian should be proactive in a sense that they think in advance. They have to think ahead especially on the supplies that will be consumed in a certain period of time. They should always put in mind that before the supplies get consumed by the tenants, they should have a sufficient number waiting in their stockroom.
Specifically, I am talking about the consumables like light bulbs and other things that the tenants might be able to consume in a regular basis. Property custodians should also be one step ahead in taking note of their monthly bills. The most basic monthly consumptions are water, light, and telecommunication. Hence, they should plan ahead and never forget the due date of these bills for them to be able to remain current all the time and not having to go in a situation where in one of their basic monthly consumption will be compromised. Lastly, one way of being a good property custodian is by staying in the property itself.
Living in the site is very helpful by fact that should any problem arises, you are there to take care of the problem right away without having to wait for a day or two in having it fixed. It also makes you visible to the tenants all the time thus giving them peace of mind.
